Modiano Taverna

Lovely restaurant! The rose wine was so good and the portions are big! They are good prices for a city centre. The only thing that was kinda rude was that they charged us the bread before we even took it and it was 1.30 euros for each piece of bread (there were two)... Everything else was good. We ate baked potato, fried zucchini and greek salad and it was more than enough for both of us.

Really delicious dishes and I also got a free taste of fish soup. Also very good prices. The staff were also very friendly. Unfortunately have to give it 4 stars because one waiter kept bringing me things I DID NOT order simply to try to add EXTRA charges to the bill. Something I did not appreciate. The prices at the end were decent considering how tasty the food was. So simply beware of this and tell them to remove it if you did not order something. Except for this I would say they have great Greek food here. I highly recommend it!

THE BEST CALAMARI I’VE EVER HAD! Ordered a greek salad, fried zuccini and the fried calamari - hands down the best food I tried in Thessaloniki. The staff were extremely polite and professional. I highly recommend Modiano Taverna!

Great food. Great service. I got the muscles and they were good. Nothing to go tell home about through. But we had the cod and it was amazing! Would recommend and come back here. Service is very extra so if you want a “left alone experience” this is not the place. The server are very observant even before I asked for something they were coming with what I wanted! Loved it it was great. You get a free fish soup and bread when you sit down which is real nice! Try the ceviche too!

Searched for a restaurant at night while walking and in city center in a plaza I found a lot of Pizza places. Suddenly I saw this little gem in the list! Hm this looks local! Food was the best we could expect. Employees were friendly. Great job. Keep up the good work.

If you want a real traditional meal - come to this Taverna! Perfect greek traditional food with vintage atmosphere. We'll be back for sure. Do not miss kalamari with Michelin sausce!

Our group visited the restaurant twice because it was so nice! Friendly and efficient service, reasonable prices and nice atmosphere. Children are welcomed too. Recommend!
